Amnis Protocol Proposal: AMI Buyback Program

  1. General Information

This proposal introduces an AMI buyback program that uses APT token from the treasury smart contract to buy back AMI tokens from the open market.

The main purpose is to turn treasury value into long-term AMI value, through a controlled and market-aware buyback mechanism that protects liquidity and supports the growth of the Amnis ecosystem.

  1. Treasury Status

The treasury currently holds stAPT equivalent to approximately 300,000 APT, built up since the protocol launched.

APT generated from protocol fees will continuously accumulate in the treasury and be used over time for AMI buybacks.

  1. Objectives

The AMI buyback program is designed to achieve the following goals:

  • Reducing AMI circulating supply: All AMI purchased through treasury-funded buybacks will be permanently burned.
  • Strengthen AMI’s market value: Buybacks signal long-term commitment to AMI, improving confidence for both current holders and future tokenholders.
  • Build deep liquidity for AMI: Using APT to buy AMI strengthens AMI liquidity pools and improves overall market depth.
  • Support ecosystem growth: A stronger and more stable AMI token benefits governance participation, partner alignment, and long-term ecosystem development.
